Continuous Zone

Applies for Trunking communications portable model radios. Zones (not channels) are dynamically assigned to the positions of a portable radio's Rotary Switch. The rotary has no defined start and stop positions allowing it to rotate completely around 360 degrees. Once the rotary has moved through all rotary zone positions (see also Zone Channel Assignment), the first zone is automatically inserted in the next rotary position. This allows the rotary to have no unassigned positions.

Zone positions are determined by the order that they are created in the Zone Page of the Zone Channel Assignment Window. Zones can be re-ordered using the following commands. From the Zone Channel Assignment Window, the Zone page, select the Position field (only visible in Table View) of the desired zone record to be moved, and enter the number that represents the desired destination for that record within the list.
